News
We recently advertised in Elektor Electronics Magazine (www.elektor-electronics.co.uk)
in their July/August edition Summer Circuits/Robotics. This was to draw
attention to our blocks range which is ideally suited to
automation and
robotic type applications. In the September edition we had an
article published about our MonCon range. The range was designed for use
in stand-alone/bench-top equipment and our motor controllers are very efficient and
easy to use. We are making our range available to the hobbyist as
well as the industrial market.
We are also advertising in Everyday Practical Electronics (www.epemag.co.uk)
and had an article about our P0701 USB PIC
Microcontroller Module printed in the July
issue.
We
have also just started advertising on the eptsoft.com
website. This is a company that have been publishing high quality
educational software for over 15 years.

New
Bootloader version for
P0701 USB PIC
Microcontroller Module
Due to
popular demand our P0701 USB PIC Microcontroller Module now has a new bootloader version
and is now compatible with compilers from SourceBoost technologies. We
also have a new programmers toolkit that includes support for both the Microchip
C18 compiler and the SourceBoost BoostC compiler, we will
soon be supporting the BoostBasic compiler from SourceBoost
technologies. Our programmers toolkit has also been improved with new
libraries providing additional communications functions to support a
range of data types including strings.
New
Stepper
Controller Firmware version 3.0 for
P0701
USB PIC Microcontroller Module
A new version
of the Stepper driver firmware has been written for the P0701
USB PIC Microcontroller Module.
The new firmware uses a much larger stepping rate table to provide much
smoother acceleration and deceleration, much better and more accurate
speed control. There is no longer a need to calculate the ramp-down
point for starting deceleration, the new firmware does this
automatically, there are also configuration options for motor direction,
find home direction, find home sensor polarity and limit switch
operation. A much improved PC based demo program running under windows
98/2000/XP is also included. The download also includes all source code
for the firmware and the demo program. Visit our Downloads-Support
Software page to see more information on this.
USB
PIC
download utility
The
USB PIC download utility is
a PC based
program for downloading your applications to a P0701 USB PIC module or
to any module in a MonCon system. The utility also includes basic
communications functions allowing you to send commands and data to the
modules and receive replies and data back from the modules. The utility
also includes logging to a log file of both sent and received messages
for debugging etc. Visit our Downloads-Support
Software page for more information.
Data
logger
This
is all
you require to use the P0701 USB PIC
Microcontroller Module as a multi-channel analogue data
logger. An application program for the P0701 and a PC based program
combine to provide a fully functional data logger capable of logging
from 1 to 11 channels at rates from 0.1 to 25.5 seconds. Data is
displayed on a chart as it is read and also logged in a csv file. The
log data can easily be imported into spreadsheets, charting and analysis
software. Visit our Downloads-Support
Software page to download a copy.
